Sponsorship Sales Manager

SUMMARY 

The Sponsorship Sales Manager will grow sponsor / client relationships for Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. (MWF) and Henry Maier Festival Park. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the position will identify, develop, solicit, manage and retain relationships and revenue streams for Summerfest and other events produced by MWF or the Summerfest Foundation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.                               

  • Engage in outside sales efforts for sponsorships, programs and venue rental business, directly managing a portfolio of clients valued at $500,000+
  • Prospect new relationships, develop comprehensive proposals, negotiate new business and retain current clients. Actively engages in each step of the sales cycle with expectation of annual growth in overall revenue
  • Create new opportunities and saleable inventory to increase annual organizational revenues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to familiarize organization with new sponsorships and ensure sponsor activation plans are executed successfully
  • Support revenue, expense and select programmatic budgets, including forecasting and planning to meet overall goals
  • Assist in the management of on-site execution of sponsorships, promotions and related programming
  • Assist in the sponsor fulfillment reporting process, including information collection and organization

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • A proven track record of sales success in a related field through five years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge and sales acumen in sponsorships, events, promotions and corporate hospitality and ticketing programs
  • A bachelor’s degree, or higher, from an accredited college or university
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude with a high level of customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate organizational vision
  • Well-developed project management skills, organizational skills, time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
  • Foster trust and open/honest communication with internal teams, partners and clients
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime
  • Ability to consistently and professionally represent the company
  • Ability to build and maintain cordial relationships with clients, peers and people at all levels, using diplomacy, judgment and interpersonal skills
  • An affinity for music, the performing arts and event is helpful
  • Strong knowledge of the following: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Client Services Coordinator

SUMMARY                                        

The Client Services Coordinator will support sponsor relationships for Summerfest and events produced by Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.  Providing expert customer service and administrative support for sponsors and partners by coordinating promotions, signage, ticketing and advertising deliverables. The role will also administer the Sales & Marketing Department’s annual budget.                                      

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.                               

  • Support sponsorship sales efforts, assisting with proposal management, contracting, and fulfilment and reporting processes
  • Participate in regular meetings with event sponsors, developing rapport and servicing sponsors’ activation plans. Manage sponsor deliverables and fulfillment for Summerfest and all MWF events, serving as liaison between MWF departments and sponsors
  • Support the on-site execution of sponsorships and related programming. Specifically, coordinate sponsorships, including free admission programs, sampling, signage, display areas, VIP hospitality
  • Manage admission ticket and other passes for sponsorships, media partners and media trades
  • Provide daily management of Sales & Marketing budget, including entering invoices, reconciliation and reporting
  • Coordinate contract process, invoicing and payment collection
  • Support the collection of data and development for post-event recaps for sponsor and mobile marketing programs
  • With direction from the Senior Director, track sales team metrics

  • Two - four years of relevant experience in a related field

Sales and Marketing Representative

SUMMARY                                        

Summerfest /Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. is seeking several outgoing candidates to help promote and sell Summerfest ticket programs to businesses in our area on a part time basis for the 2018 Summerfest music festival.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Marketing and Sales Representatives contact current and potential Business Group Sales (BGS), Premier Seat Program (PSP), and Corporate Party rental customers. Sales Reps receive paid training work from our Summerfest offices. This position is seasonal part-time, starting the first week of November and concluding mid-June with standard office hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sell Summerfest Ticket Programs
  • Contact new prospects and assigned existing clients/businesses that have received business programs brochures, but have not yet ordered
  • Make a minimum of 80 calls per day
  • Generate and update call reports
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Assist in execution of grassroots marketing event for Summerfest during non-traditional hours

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, and EDUCATION

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet goals and work well with others in a team environment
  • Consistent, punctual and regular attendance for the 30 weeks that you are employed
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Additional week night and weekend hours as needed

Infrastructure Engineer

SUMMARY

The Infrastructure Engineer will maintain the computer server and networking systems by tracking server and communications activity, performing upgrades of software, maintaining computer hardware, addressing questions about technical problems, and improving efficiency by evaluating system network functions.                               

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.                               

  • Providing daily end user-focused technical support, while providing ongoing connectivity to MWF business systems. This position strives to provide responsive end user experience and high availability for network and server infrastructure. Answers support requests during and outside of business hours via phone, email and face to face providing level(s) 1-3 of helpdesk support on the MWF Grounds in Milwaukee. 
  • Designing, Implementing and managing all aspects of the MWF computing environments, including server and storage, networking (both wired and wireless), backup systems, IT security, telephony, point of sale, electronic signage, & surveillance security.  Dispatches maintenance requests for production software applications or a service requests for problems of a technical nature to the appropriate resource.  Working with hardware and software vendors to escalate issues as needed with the ability to determine root-cause and develop long term solutions.
  • Identifies and resolves end user break/fix issues (desktop computers, POS systems, printers, scanners, verifying network connections, etc.). 
  • Provides support and training as needed on Microsoft and Apple based computers, Microsoft Office 365, Outlook and business applications using knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and WINS. The support varies from software to server hardware, and network connectivity. Working knowledge of SQL server, a plus.
  • Configures and deploys PCs and Laptops for new employees or as a replacement\upgrade for existing equipment. Assisting with the setup of BYOD systems for end-users who utilize their own devices (cell phones, tablets & laptops primarily) for remote connectivity.
  • Maintaining the MWF computer room servers, SAN and virtualization platforms as well as validate performance of daily backups.  Additionally, provide as needed, backup support to other team members to the IT infrastructure including but not limited to LAN/WAN/Security environment.
  • Must keep on top of emerging technologies & best practices as they pertain to the environment and our industry with an eye on improving customer experiences while understanding implementation costs & ROI.  Completes other projects as assigned.  

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related field OR the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  A minimum five years related work experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and/or software problems on various platforms. 
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with staff, outside vendors and partners with varying levels of IT expertise are essential. 
  • The ability to analyze and recommend appropriate IT solutions for implementation by external parties and other departments is required. 
  • The desire and ability to seek growth and additional professional training opportunities are essential. 
  • Work during on call schedule, outside of normal work hours as necessary to provide end-user support.
  • Work outside of normal work hours for in season special events.  

Preferred:

  • Experience in a corporate network environment.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft products.
