Henry Maier Festival Park Calendar of Events 2016

2016 Date: June 10-12

The mission of PrideFest is to celebrate the diversity of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture and community. The festival’s lineup includes national, regional and local entertainment as well as the PrideFest Wisconsin Drag Show, Mr. and Miss PrideFest Pageant, Wom!nz Spot, Dance Pavilion, volleyball tournament and Health and Wellness Area.

2016 Date: June 17-19

Polish Fest highlights Polish and Polish-American entertainment on five stages, Folk Art, Polish artists, demonstrations and a marketplace in a Cultural Village and offers authentic Polish fare. The festival also features a Children’s Area, Miss Polish Fest Pageant, Chopin Youth Piano Competition and Polish Mass.

2016 Date: June 11 - 7:00 am

"Take it to the Bridge!" with thousands of runners at the sixth annual Summerfest Rock 'n Sole Run presented by BMO Harris Bank.  Participants will enjoy breathtaking views of the downtown Milwaukee skyline, Lake Michigan and Henry Maier Festival Park as they race over the Daniel Hoan Memorial Bridge, a Milwaukee landmark and throughout the course.

2016 Dates: June 29 - July 3 / July 5 - July 10

Following its 1968 debut, Summerfest has evolved into what is now recognized as “The World’s Largest Music Festival” and Milwaukee’s cornerstone summer celebration, bringing the music industry’s hottest stars, emerging talent and local favorites along with approximately 900,000 people from Milwaukee and around the world together each year for an unforgettable live music experience. During the festival, the spotlight shines on 800 bands, 11 stages, delectable food and beverages and interactive activities, all in a world-class festival setting. Patrons can also enjoy Miller Lite, the Official Beer of Summerfest.

Festa Italiana was the first ethnic festival to be held at Henry Maier Festival Park. Milwaukee's Italian community hosts this exciting celebration of Italian culture where patrons enjoy world-class performances, both local and national, cook-offs and eating contests and a wide range of other new events.

2016 Date: July 29-31

Billed as Milwaukee's Kick Off to the Wisconsin Oktoberfest Season, German Fest celebrates 35 years with authentic culture, food, music and history of the many German-speaking communities around the world. Popular attractions include the Dachshund Derby, Glockenspeil, Run/Walk and Marktplatz. 

2016 Date: August 18-21

Irish Fest has been part of the Milwaukee community for more than 30 years and the Smithsonian Institution called it "the largest and best Irish cultural event in North America." True to its mission statement "to promote and celebrate all aspects of Irish culture and to instill in future generations an appreciation of Irish heritage," Irish Festivals, Inc. is much more than a festival, working on outreach endeavors throughout the United States.

2016 Date: August 26-28

Mexican Fiesta celebrates the sound, culture and taste of Mexico and other Latin American countries each year with three days of fun, food, Mariachi and Fiesta for everyone. Mexican Fiesta is more than just a celebration; it is a vigorous declaration of community spirit at its best, concentrating on providing education and cultural events for the growing Hispanic community. 

2016 Date: September 24

Fromm Petfest is celebrating its second year as a fun event for two-legged and four-legged attendees. The free event features a variety of pet-focused attractions and activities, including dock diving, agility and lure courses, main stage presentations including training and trick clinics, a pet-themed marketplace, family-focused activities, contests, music, food and more.
